Thank you for participating in the first Downtown BART!

This is a new and unique art show and we hope it will grow organically, starting small this year and by year 3, become a major Downtown celebration of spring.

Our Goals: Downtown BART has several goals. Among them is to provide exposure for artists. We hope that by showing your work, you will meet new friends and supporters. By showing your work, you will also be helping to inspire people about Downtown! Thank you!

Approval of Artwork: Bars and restaurants which will participate in Downtown BART have the right to approve all art which goes into their venue plus the location where it will be displayed. We encourage you to contact the venue to show and get approval for your art pieces.

Installation: Artists are in charge of their installations at each venue. Please find where you are showing and speak with the venue directly. This will speed up communication and give you an opportunity to meet and become friends with the people who work at the bar or restaurant. Your first step is to contact the venue to get them to approve your art. At the same time, you can discuss where the art will hang and when it will be installed date. If you need help in contacting the venue or installing the art, please contact Mark or Hope at the email or phone numbers above. Downtown BART opens June 8 so please get your art installed before then! Thanks.

Opening Party: The bars and restaurants who have opened their doors to us should be thanked and supported. On Tuesday, June 9, each participating artist is asked to invite their friends and family to join them for an Opening Party at the venue showing their work. Please invite lots of people and have them show up and order a drink. Have fun and spread the goodwill. The bar and restaurant owners will appreciate your business.

BART Crawls: For the 2 weeks while the first Downtown BART is up, the Downtown Arts Club will be organizing a series of BART Crawls. You are invited to register for any of them or lead your own.

End of Show: After the show closes on Friday, June 25, please communicate with the venue and arrange for your art to be removed. If you need help, please contact Mark or Hope. Thanks!
