Miranda Plant Byers

Miranda Plant Byers is a Canadian actress, and arts producer. She is an advocate for work created by female/ nonbinary artists with the intent to impact social change. As an actor she’s appeared in House of Dynamite (Netflix), Boardwalk Empire (HBO), and The Bout (Winner at Tribeca Film Festival). Favorite producing credits include Seth Rudetsky's Deconstructing Broadway (Canadian premiere); Greater Good (2018) (winner of 8 awards, and official selection at 28 film festivals worldwide); When We Grow Up (2018) (winner of "Best of the Lens", Indy Film Fest); and the Jessye Norman at 75: A Celebration concert event at Brookfield Place NY (winner of the "Best In Concert" by Opera 360). She was recognized for her advocacy in storytelling with the "Editha Award for Women's Empowerment" (Hudson International Film Festival, 2021) and the esteemed “Outstanding Alumnae Award” 2024 for advocacy for women in her field by her alma mater, St. Mildred’s-Lightbourn School. She holds an MFA in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School/ Pace University in NYC. She lives in Tribeca with her husband Todd, and two boys, Will and Andrew.
